Is Voodoo evil?
This is also a myth that has been negatively portray in the media by misinforming writers who wish to sell movies and books to enrich their coffers by prying on the ignorant of the masses who don't know any better. Many still don't know that the so-called voodoo doll actually comes from Ancient Egypt! B.C. before Voodoo was even form as a religion! As a matter of fact, no real Voodoo Priest in Haiti has ever used a Voodoo Doll. You only see them using them during a late night B rated horror movies.As a real Voodoo priest initiated in Voodoo, I can tell you that my Haitian grandfather, father and mother have never use a so-called Voodoo doll as a matter of fact, the only time you will see a Voodoo doll in Haiti is for the naive tourists in the gift shops Port Prince.
What is Hoodoo?
Hoodoo is any self made home-grown American version of Voodoo. It has its roots in Slavery from down the deep south parts of the United States. Hoodoo was popularized by a Woman name Marie Lava But one must not confuse true Voodoo with American Voodooism that is practiced in the deep south and New Orleans. That is called Hoodoo and American recreation. The facts should be set straight to as what is real Voodoo and what is American Hoodoo. Hoodoo uses the Voodoo Doll, oils incense, baths, charms, lucky bags, waters, soaps, powders etc.
Is Voodoo a Cult or Religion?
Voodoo is a real religion and not a cult. It is a positive religion and only in the media is voodoo portrayed as some sinister evil black cult for sensationalism and money drawing. True Vodoun has it roots in mother Africa and is still practiced all over the world surprisingly by just as many whites as blacks for powerful healing, success and greater self control over each individual affairs. Is that the true purpose of any religion?
What is the connection between Voodoo and Hypnosis?
First of all, Hypnosis is not Voodoo! But in the Voodoo world, many powerful priests practice a secret powerful method of entering a deep trance. In this deep trance state, they can access the deep powers of the mind to influence their lives and lives of others even at the greatest distant. It is this principle of entering a deep trance that has fascinated me to study and practice this method of entering into the deepest trance possible.
Strip away of all its "mystical" trappings. It is hypnosis but Voodoo Hypnosis of the deepest order. It is strange that of all the ways and means of inducing trance in others or on yourself, this method has remained un-touch or un -published by the hypnotic community. Of course this is not the Voodoo Priests only methods of reaching and influencing the mind. They used herbs, special prayers, talismans and ceremonies to aid them in reaching their goals.
